The first four months of 2016 have shown interesting results in regards of the Real Estate Market in Baja California Sur.
Coldwell Banker Riveras prepared the following report based on the Sold Properties reported to the Los Cabos MLS as of May 1st, 2016. We included Cabo, San Jose, The East Cape, La Paz, Todos Santos & Cerritos in our search. Here are some of its results:
* Homes and condos represent 66.82% of the total sales volume, lots account for of 32% and commercial properties only represent 1%.
* San Jose market closed an historical sale with a beachfront home sold for $12,000,000 USD!
* The price range for 60% of all the homes sold within Baja was between $0 – $300,000 USD

It is logical to see these numbers and feel a bit skeptical, however 14% of the homes sold were above $1M and as of today, there are a total of 251 properties pending to close, which suggests that the real estate market in Baja continues to be an attractive option for investors and home buyers.
