By Alec Quevedo
Greetings from sunny Todos Santos! My name is Alec Quevedo and I am the newest member of the all-star Todos Santos Coldwell Banker Riveras team.
After many years working in the wilds of Southern Patagonia, I have landed on these sunny shores to take advantage of the clear, clean air, the amazingly fresh seafood, and the small community atmosphere that translates to a very high quality of life for its residents. And of course the Surf!
That’s right! I am here to surf and this beautiful coastline is blessed with warm waves year round. From clean little points, to big, scary peaks and everything in between, the variety of surf here has been a fantastic bonus to living in paradise. In spring and summer, San Jose and the East Cape come alive with waves originating in the southern hemisphere and sweeping into our coastline; in autumn, the hurricanes send boisterous swells all over the tip of Southern Baja and these warm waves light up the coast well into October; and finally, winter brings the long period northern swells that march down the US coast and keep the Pacific shores of southern Baja busy with big, powerful waves all winter long.
If you, like me, are looking to take advantage of this surf bounty in paradise, we have a great selection of homes and property to fit into the beach/surf lifestyle within any budget and I have highlighted a few here:
Casa Serenata. A gorgeous mid-priced home with spectacular ocean views and near the challenging waves of La Pastora and the town of Todos Santos. Offered at $275,000 USD
San Pedrito Beach Front Lot 2861. Do you prefer to build your dream surf pad? This lot is right on the sand in front of the world class San Pedrito Surf break. Stunning views and perfect waves at your front door for $225,000 USD.
Cerritos Beach Best Buy. A great little starter lot ready to build on with great views of the consistent waves and offshore afternoon winds at Los Cerritos Beach for $40,000 USD
Leave a comment bellow and let me know which is your favorite surf spot in Baja – or elsewhere in the world. I’m always interested in exploring and trying out new surf spots!
Until next time, warm regards from Todos Santos,
